For 25 years, the Polish band Dikanda with origin from Szczecin has created their unique musical magic with a wide spectrum of the folk music traditions of the Orient. In their artistic expression, Dikanda promotes the authenticity of the style and most of their works are original compositions. Balkan and Romani music culture, Israel, Kurdistan, Belarus and India meet in their charismatic musical world. Dikanda’s concerts are emotional journeys through ethnic sounds, a joyous meeting full of energy and honesty.The most important thing in their artistic work as a live band is the intimate meeting that takes place when musicians and audience shares the experience of the dynamics of live music, with it’s rhythms, tones and message.
