Once again, we welcome a dear old friend to the Urkult stage. Lamine nurtures and builds on his rich musical heritage, generations back from Senegal. In the true and beautiful spirit of world music, he allows himself excursions into many other traditions and creates new, exciting meetings across borders that prove to unite more than they separate. In recent years, Lamine has composed and improvised more and more in the genre of Afro-jazz and found an exciting collaboration with the singer Fanta Yayo. Fanta is a fantastic singer who for many years fronted the band Tamala and toured with bands such as Mamady Keita Jr and Seckou Keita. She has a wide experience in the singing traditions and, in addition, a deep soulfulness in her voice that gives wings to every listening heart. Now they come together to Urkult with an indomitable and contagious energy. Presence, warmth and laughter combined with rarely seen musical professionalism make this performance the ultimate joy.
